Taste Buddies proposes immersions into the heart of Mauritius through guided walking tours in some towns and villages of Mauritius, tasting specially-selected local goodies of the different origins that compose the local population and makes Mauritius so… crispy, colourful and tasty.
The places
Taste Buddies takes you through the streets of Grand Baie, Mahebourg or Port-Louis.
The focus
It’s about tasting typical food and drinks at selected restaurants and stalls, with emphasis on street-food. While walking around and tasting, you will learn about the history of the places, you will be explained the influence of how the different cultures have influenced each other and shaped the foundations of Mauritian food and culture.

Grand Baie – Home-made food tour – Discover how Grand Baie has evolved from a once ignored region essentially consisting of wetlands, to one of the most visited tourist destinations in Mauritius.
