Owing to its size, comfort, service and especially to its large garden leading to its beautiful beach, villa Taïssa is one of the few privately-owned, genuine luxury villas in Mauritius.
Located on the edge of the lagoon of Trou-d’Eau-Douce, on the east coast of Mauritius, privacy is enhanced by a reduced number of passers-by on the beach and especially owing to its long stretch of all-shady garden between the house and the beach. The bright-white beach is fairly deep and large, gently sloping to the crystal-clear lagoon. The cherry on top is the panoramic view on the whole bay with the range of mountains afar.
The villa is very large and comfortable with not less than 4 sitting areas including a large comfortable kiosk next to the pool and opening on the sea side. It also counts 3 large dining areas; inside, on pool side and on garden side. It counts 4 air-conditioned double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and opening on a balcony or terrace. The one attached to the master bedroom counts a bathtub.
In the garden, a pavilion counting 2 double bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchenette allows a total accommodation capacity to 10.
Villa Taïssa is fully-serviced with a team of 4 staff-members. The gardener comes in six days a week from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm. His attendance can be reduced as per guests’ liking.
Three maids come six days a week, from 8.00 am to 7.00 pm. And from 8.00 to 5.00 pm on Sundays and public holidays. Their jobs consist of cleaning, washing, ironing and cooking.
Furthermore, for those who want to avoid the food duties completely we propose a chef service (surcharged).

The villa is beautiful and even better than on the photos, a very neat and very tasteful decor. The spaces are very spacious and access to the beach is direct. The grounds are very well maintained, a gardener spends every morning to clean and maintain. The housekeepers in charge of maintenance and cooking are adorable and very discreet. Thanks to them.
I hope we can be back very soon.

The house is designed for 8 people, 2 bedrooms with bathroom upstairs generously dimensioned and with ample storage space. In the lower area 2 bedrooms with bath, which do not have the same standard as on the upper floor, ideal for 2 adults with children. If needed, there is a neighboring house available on the grounds, we were with a total of 12 people (6 adults, 6 children) in the villa, 4 children were sleeping in the adjoining house. In the adjoining house is also a bathroom, but the equipment is not comparable to that in the main building.
The kitchen is perfectly equipped, dishes, cutlery, glasses. etc sufficient and well available. In the main house Wi-Fi is available free of charge, the range is limited.
The outdoor area is a dream, a large open plan dining area, the table designed for 12 people. Behind the pool, a shower outside, then a welcoming lounge, all around with sitting / lying furniture, facing the sea with a large window that can be closed in strong winds. Another completely open seating area adjoins laterally offset. The beach is only a few steps away. For the entertainment there is a table tennis table, covered at the house, and 2 canoes available.
For the care in the house and kitchen were 3 ladies on duty, very kind and helpful. The food was cooked to our liking, an Indian / Creole mix, very tasty. The shopping can be left to the ladies or in one of the large supermarkets (about 20 KM away and very well sorted) even buy. The ladies also take care of the cleaning of the house and the laundry, including the private laundry. Garden and pool are maintained by a gardener. A car for shopping, etc. is an advantage.
The local agency is very helpful, e.g. Organization of pick-up from the airport, car rental and pick-up at the house, tips for trips or restaurants.
In summary: a fantastic holiday, in a very nice villa, big enough to find a quiet place when needed. All this in a very beautiful country, with very lovely people, usually very good weather with temperatures that, if it rains, just invite you to swim or snorkel in the sea!
