Bungalow Poema

Two perfect weeks at villa Poema. 2 spacious bedrooms, 1 lounge in the shade, 1 XXL TV lounge and 1 lounge facing the sea and the pool. A more than perfect villa in an enchanting location facing the sea. Morning coffee in the pool to the sound of the waves after a comfortable night in a cosy bed, aperitifs on the beach and afternoons in the waves. A host who took great care, was very welcoming and responsive (the air-conditioning in one of the rooms broke down on a Sunday and was immediately changed on Monday).
An unforgettable dream holiday.

I'm forgetting all the little details like the fishing rods available, the snorkelling equipment, the board games, the plug adapters, the beautiful garden and its deckchairs, the birdsong, the dog's greeting when he comes in, the welcome breakfast tray and I'll finish with the late departure (3pm) because of an evening flight.

In conclusion, a great host for us and certainly soon for booking. I would recommend this accommodation and make the most of it. We'll be back on our next trip to Mauritius.

An absolutely stunning location with a villa beautifully designed to make the most of the views, crashing sound waves and breeze.
The owners came to meet us on day of arrival and gave very helpful contacts and information on the shops and services locally. They kept in touch regularly.
Housekeepers, Guylaine and Sheila, were very welcoming and did a great job of keeping the villa pristine.
Well equipped kitchen, regularly maintained pool and gardens.

A car is necessary as no shops or restaurants within walking distance.

Quiet and clean place with absolutely amazing views. 7 days in this place was not enough and we will certainly come back here again. Sophie, the host, is a total professional and she takes great care of the villa with her team. We will not forget that view on the sea; it was the best I've ever seen. Modern villa with great facilities. Sophie gave us gifts and the kids also colouring books. We had a good lunch from the maid who cooked and cleaned every working day.

The beach is wild and for young children it’s not ideal difficult here. But this portion of the island is like that. We know Ostrava and we were not surprised. Those who seek peace and relaxation will find it here. Empty beaches, although a bit windy, but absolutely amazing.

The property was perfect for our family, we spent there wonderful time there. Our host where brilliant. The location is absolutely quit and far from tourist area (that can be either advantage/disadvantage - depends on your needs).

The only problem - if you have small children - could be sea/beach, because waves can be dangerous in this area.

Villa Poema is a relaxing place; for family stays in a charming and tranquil environment, where holidays are paced to the sound of the waves. I hope to be back very soon. Service and gentleness meet here.

Sophie's place is wonderful. It is a sea-facing home with everything one would need. We were welcomed with a great Mauritian-style meal, and we were also surprised to find a lot of basic things in the refrigerator and kitchen - beer, water, butter, bread, juice, coffee. There is a good supermarket like 10-15 minutes away by car. A maid service is also provided daily. Eline was very nice and friendly. She can also cook one meal each day if provided the ingredients. The pool is nice for evening dips. The beach is rocky to one side and more sandy to the other. Since the area is rather windy, there are some waves. There is also a barbecue provided. We were visited by the neighbor's dogs also which are really nice and friendly as well, and made us feel like home.

We promised to come back to Mauritius, and we will definitely stop by Sophie's place again.

My husband and I spent two wonderful weeks at the villa. It is perfect for people with limited mobility. The design of the villa is simple but very effective. I would highly recommend the villa for anybody wanting a quiet, comfortable holiday.

Wonderful stay in Poema, the aptly named bungalow in Poste-Lafayette bungalow. Proximity to the beach, comfort, tranquility and aesthetics have filled our stay. Not to mention the quality of service including the lost and found services! Warmly recommended.

We really felt being cared for from the booking until the departure. Sophie and Bernard have fulfilled all our wishes and Eline has made sure that we could totally relax without housework. She also cooked delicious meals for us and was very friendly and helpful.
The house is a dream on the sea. There was nothing wrong with it. It is comfortably furnished, has this fantastic sea view and a really nice beach. We also loved that some food was already prepared for the first day. A warm welcome! Great service !!! We had a rental car and the villa was a good base for exploring the whole island.

We booked a massage through Sophie and Bernard. That was perfect for starting the vacation. No matter if you just wanted a relaxing massage or a massage against tension. Great empathy!

We had a great holiday all around and are very happy that we have made the best decision with the Villa Poema. Many thanks to Sophie, Bernard, Eline and the nice masseur (whose name we unfortunately forgot, sorry).

We stayed one week in this wonderful villa Poema at the beach in Poste-Lafayette. The villa with spectacular sea view is located in a very quiet area in the east of Mauritius and is well decorated and perfectly equipped.
We loved to refresh in the private pool and enjoyed the amazing sunrise every morning. We would definitely recommend this place to stay!

The facilities are spacious and modern and ideally placed close to the beach. Although the services of the maid is a good feature with the possibilities for her to cook, as a couple we found it sometimes intrusive - perhaps the option for a later start time would suite some.
It is a pity that the TV did not work for most of our 8-day stay.
We received excellent service from Sophie at the beginning and end of our stay. The feral puppies in the garden were particularly entertaining!
Overall we felt that it was the excellence and position of the accommodation which made our holiday in Mauritius so enjoyable.

Had a great time in villa Poema. The place was heaven for us. The quietness, just the sound of the wind, the waves and the birds. 10 meters walk to the beach. We would love to come back again.

Great stay in a wonderful villa at the beach in Mauritius! The villa was everything we hoped for, super living areas indoor and outdoor, nice garden, and perfect living rooms and bathrooms for two families. And great service too! Three ladies and a nice gardener who made us great food, and helped us with everything we needed during our stay. Thank you:)

What a great site to be with its beauty and friendliness of the caretaker. Had wonderful time and will be visiting again with friends and stay longer. Unparallel to other places of residence.

We spent 7 days in a Paradise - accommodated in that gorgeous villa in amazing location. 4 adults (2 pairs) with great level of service, retreat, equipment etc.. Owners (Sophie and Bernard) were very nice and helpful during our trip preparation and during our stay as well! The level of the service they offer is excellent (prepared welcome package including prepared food, maid available every day for your disposal, daily clean service etc.). I found that villa on the site: Bookmauritius-villas.com and would recommend to all to check the list of villas in their offer. The villa we stayed in was very comfortable with ocean view, swimming pool on the terrace and fit all our needs. Each bedroom has its own en-suite, with showers and all equipment is very modern creating relaxing atmosphere. We played golf on the Island, visited interesting places and spent as well time just on the terrace, reading books, relaxing, listening the ocean, during the evenings we grilled on the terrace. the location is close enough to everything what we needed. We spend a great time in and around the poema. Great fews and sunrises! The maid was a wonderful cook on top of all! We enjoyed every minute! Sophie (from mauritius-villas.com) was always there to answer any question. So we even had the chance to have great massages : the masseur came round and put up his portable bed on the terrace ! What better can you get as a massage listing to the ocean and waiting for a wonderful dinner cooked by the maid .... The only problem we had to deal with : there are not really lots of restaurants round. But the good thing was, there is a huge supermarket not far away with all fresh fisch fruit wines rums etc. i would recommend this place for anyone who enjoys nature and silence.
