Bubble Lodge

Bubble Lodges are the most atypical holiday accommodation of Mauritius. Unique in its concept, unique in their settings and locations. Indeed, the ones in operation are located in Bois Cheri Tea Estate; a beautiful lakeside setting and on the golf course of Ile-aux-cerfs, which is not just for golf enthusiasts as this wonderful islet inside the lagoon of Trou-d’Eau-Douce is the No.1 tourist site of Mauritius.

Each of the four lodges of Ile-aux-cerfs is located in carefully selected spot. Their names say it all!

When occupied, the lodges are constantly ventilated, dehumidified and temperature is set at guests liking.

The lodges of Ile-aux-cerfs consist of 3 connected bubbles, each totalling 24m². They consist of a common/sitting area a double bedroom and a bathroom. Extra beds are available and each lodge can comfortably accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults + 2 children (aged 3-12).

Each lodge is fitted with a queen-size bed, a sofa-bed of 120 X 190 cm, a coffee table, footstools, lamps and a garden lounge. Bathrooms count a washbasin, toilets and an open-sky shower with hot water.

Because the concept allows a true connection with nature, even for those who would otherwise be skittish to camp on an islet. This can be an enlightenment that is necessary to the paradigm shift that may be essential to adopting an eco-friendly lifestyle.

On a building and structural standpoint, the bubbles, totalling just 74 Kgs of fabric, have very light impact on the environment; especially that they have been fitted within existing nature. These consideration compensate for the 90Kw blower that is required to keep the lodges… bubbling.

No shows and cancellations received within 30 days prior to initial check-in day will be charged at 100% of total amount of the reservation.
