Lakaz Chamarel

Lakaz Chamarel is a reinvention of the holiday accommodation in Mauritius and somehow of Mauritian tourism. Described as a “boutique hotel” of standards equivalent to 4-star, Lakaz Chamarel is set as an exclusive lodge of 20 units; some with private pool, scattered around the domain.

The village of Chamarel being one of the rare “mountain-villages” of Mauritius, along a scenic route, the location of the hotel on the outskirts of this village is one of the factors of its uniqueness. Surrounded by endemic-rich nature, the topography is also unique where the main building overlooks a pond in a trough while some suites are located on a 400m-high ridge offering a stunning view over the west coast.

Lakaz Chamarel counts 20 lodges into 5 categories of double bedrooms & suites – All with en-suite bathrooms including an open-ceiling shower:
3 X “Kaz” standard rooms of 50 m² with terrace overlooking a swimming pool. Accommodation for 2 persons.
4 X Suites of 80 m² with terrace overlooking the larger swimming pool. Accommodation for 3 adults or 2 adults + 2 children.
8 Mountain & Garden pool suites of 90 – 95 m². Accommodation for 3 persons.
4 Seaview Pool suites of approx. 105 m². Accommodation for 3 persons.
1 Exclusive Seaview pool suite of approx. 115 m². Accommodation for 3 persons.

Children aged 8 to 12 are welcome.

All rooms and Suites are equipped with:
Ceiling Fan, citronella cream, bathrobes, slippers, mosquito nets, sponges & pool towels, a set of pillows, a mini bar, hairdryer, telephone, tea, and coffee making facilities, safe, and WIFI.
