Google Map API Key TutorialThe name Belle Mare brings several ideas to the mind:
– reputed luxury resorts,
– long beaches,
– azure hues,
– east coast
All four above still match the reality with the subtle, yet substantial, tweak as regards to its location along the east coast. Indeed, the handful of beach-front villas in Belle Mare are north-east to north-facing. This, for the simple reason that they are all located along a stretch of the coast which is north-east facing, as observed on the map above. This is an important detail.
Although largely exaggerated, the general perception one derives while gathering peer information about the east coast of Mauritius is that it is windy. This question is technically detailed in our blog about the east coast, from which we summarise that the “Trade winds” are active during austral winter only. Although the easterly direction is maintained most of the year, when comes the mid-seasons and summer, it turns into a light breeze. In summer, this breeze is most welcome as it makes the east coast of Mauritius, the place where the high temperatures are most bearable.
During the windy months, staying in a beach-front villa in Belle Mare is, weather-wise, exactly the same as one in the Grand Baie or Trou-aux-Biches regions of the north coast. In Belle Mare, especially in summer, one can enjoy the same rich colour-palette at sunset, with the non-negligible bonus privilege of having also access to sunrises and moonrises.
Below is our choice of bungalows and villas located in Belle Mare. We also propose holiday rentals in the following regions:
— Roches Noires & Poste Lafayette (east coast)
— Trou d’Eau Douce (east coast)
