Bungalow Badam is a hard-to-find sweet spot among the dizzying turmoil of holiday rentals in the region Grand Baie, north coast of Mauritius.
Located near Anse la Raie, it is among the first ten houses at the peaceful eastern end of the agglomeration, it perfectly combines peacefulness and proximity to shopping outlets, activities and restaurants. The front garden is split between an elevated open lawn and a strip at sea-level, strip shaded by tall trees, a refreshing green preamble to the tranquil cove, colourful lagoon and open sea. Stairs allows an easy access to the sea while the drop ensures full privacy. The beach remains concealed beneath the grass as a measure of protection against erosion; the bathing conditions are excellent.
The house of typical Creole layout is full of charm. Fully renovated, it offers two modernised bathrooms and kitchen. It’s modest surface area makes its cosiness while the layout allows the comfortable accommodation of a family of four or of two couples in two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms.
The Veranda hosts the main sitting area and dining table, although a second table and a small sitting area provide interior alternatives. At the opposite end, two tall doors with plantation louvre open onto a a cosy, well-planted patio, contributing to the warm, peaceful ambience.
The bungalow is serviced three half-days a week, with the option to add a forth half-day on Saturdays (Subject to a surcharge). The service includes the cleaning, washing, ironing and the preparation of one meal, which can be breakfast or a main meal, to have for lunch or at dinner. A gardener comes two days a week essentially for raking away the dry leaves.
