Villa Giulietta is another of these now rare typical beach houses of a not so far-away time. Within its thick original stone walls, time is in suspension leaving way to a restful feeling of easiness. Enjoying the view from the shady veranda, especially in the morning watching the boats set out to sea from this remote shelter feels like a voyage in a time-capsule.

The inside has been refurbished in respect of the house’s character, bringing-in the most important aspects of modern comfort, clean and modern bathrooms, air-conditioned bedrooms and a functional kitchen.

The depth of the front garden ensures privacy and the table under the old tree is the perfect place for breakfasts and al-fesco dining. The beach has been eroded but is present on each side; the public beach of La Preneuse is at walking distance.

The location is ideal as in a quiet purely residential area away from the main road, it is yet close to the many shops, restaurants and retail outlets of busy Black-River village. Its proximity to the main boarding point of most boat-trips is also an advantage. Black River is suitable for activities at large, on sea and also on land, namely with the proximity of the Black River Gorges for hikers, the Casela park for days out with children.
