A wonderful stay. The villa is ideally located in a very quiet and airy environment, without being too crowded. Comfort is a given in every room of the villa, with a pleasant pool and a cosy back veranda ideal for starting the evening or admiring the sunrise. Dorine is attentive, her cuisine is perfect, although overly generous, but is that really a flaw? Thank you to Sophie, who was always there when we needed her. We recommend without hesitation. Thank you for sharing this moment.

Sophie and Bernard manage the villa and look after the tenants with great friendliness and availability. But the big problem during our stay was the owners who live in the adjoining villa. You will feel watched 24 hours a day, they forbade us to leave the deckchairs on the beach (600€ in case of theft!) which meant we had to lug the heavy deckchairs around several times a day. We had agreed a late checkout at 7pm. That didn't stop the owners barging into the villa at 1pm and throwing us out in the middle of a category 3 hurricane alert with our children. I had to insist that they go outside to give us some privacy to pack our bags, knowing that - our flight had been cancelled, - the hotels were all virtually full, - taxis were not allowed. All in all, the villa was comfortable, and the cook and maid were lovely. Please note that you need shoes for swimming in the sea.

Sophie and Bernard gave us a very warm welcome. They have very good advice on activities and restaurants and are very responsive. They found the perfect person to introduce me to sailing, even though I'm very scared of the water. The house is fantastic, both the pool side and the sea side are very pleasant. The house is even more beautiful than on the photos. Dorine prepared wonderful local dishes for us. We'll be back with great pleasure!

We had a wonderful stay in Mauritius. The villa is modern, spacious, bright and clean. The house staff are wonderful, with special thanks to Dorine for preparing the meals, which were all excellent. The hosts are very friendly.

We had a superb stay at Sophie's, the accommodation is top notch and Dorinne took great care of us and prepared wonderful meals.

We had a really memorable stay and it wad a perfect size for us (4 adults, 2 children - even could have easily accommodated two more adults). We saw humpback whales from the beachfront garden and our son lived in the pool. Lots of kid friendly and baby friendly items and books and toys for use as well as a cot, blender etc which made it easy to cater to our baby’s food needs. Huge supermarket very close by too. We had one small incident which we were able to resolve constructively with the host and I appreciated Sophie’s communication to resolve the matter. Areas to note: The cook is most comfortable speaking in french and if you are not a french speaker, communicating takes work. The cleaning service also starts at 8.30 am - but personally our kids wake us up at 6 am anyway so it didn't matter to us. The pros definitely are: Location (beautiful, peaceful and private) Spacious, bright and clean villa with pool Sophie organised Darmen the driver- he was a GEM and very resourceful.

Excellent stay in a villa as described in the advert. The presence of Dorine in the kitchen and Sharoona for the upkeep of the house enabled us to spend 3 relaxing weeks. Special mention to Sharoona for her discretion and the remarkable quality of her work. The wild coastline is peaceful and makes for great walks along the beach. Sophie was very available and gave us good advice right from the start.

We had a wonderful stay with Sophie. The house is magnificent, luxurious, quiet with a breathtaking view over the lagoon. The bedding is perfect and the house is quiet. Swimming in the lagoon is difficult in front of the house, so the pool is a real asset. The house staff are very pleasant and available and Dorine prepares wonderful dishes! Me and my family stayed for 10 days. And we loved the place very much. The host Sophie was outstanding and made the stay feel like home. Highly recommend the place if you are visiting Mauritius.

Sophie supplied us with all the information we needed before our arrival. The house is very quiet with direct access to the sea and the pool, which was ideal for our children. Dorine is a gem who made us better food than we could have expected in the restaurant. Everything in the villa is well decorated, air conditioning in the rooms, and the bedding very comfortable. We went out a few times but with all the advantages on site, why run like the rest of the year! See you soon in Mauritius?

We spent a week at villa AMARA in Poste Lafayette at the beginning of February. Ideally located on the coast, unfortunately we could not fully enjoy the beach because of algae due to bad weather. Despite this, the villa is well placed and allows to discover the east, it is very well arranged with a beautiful swimming pool at the back, beautiful decoration. The service offered by Bookmauritius is simply perfect: 2 people at the villa, very discreet including Dorine who prepares wonderful Mauritian dishes for lunch and dinner, à la carte! Booking process, communication, nothing to say. Without hesitation, we recommend the agency and the villa (and Dorine !!)

Villa Amara offers everything you need. We had a wonderful 14 days there. There is a wonderful sea view, enough space, a pool, many outdoor seating options, direct access to the beach. We have been booking our Mauritius stays with Sophie and Bernard for many years now - and we have always had very good experiences. They respond very quickly to our mails and requests and implement all our wishes and requests very quickly and to our absolute satisfaction. We can really highly recommend BookMauritius Villas. At Villa Amara, the wonderful Dorine cooked for us the most delicious delicacies Mauritius has to offer. Salonee made sure that the house was always clean and the comfortable beds were regularly made up. What we can also highly recommend is to book a massage at the house with Nishta and her team. One of the best massages we have ever had. The owners of the house are incredibly lovely people, stay discreetly in the background, but are there for you if you want them to be. As it rained three days in a row at our place, they invited us for a little apero at their place, which we found very charming. All in all, a wonderful stay and we are already planning the next one! Sophie's house is gorgeous and even better than what one can imagine looking at the picture. It is perfect for up to 8 people, plenty of space and kitchen super well equipped. Dorinne (the house keeper) is the real added value, she will prepare for you amazing meals and breakfast always smiling and keen to help. I would choose this place without hesitation if I will ever be back in this lovely island

We had a great stay at Villa Amara. It is very well equipped and 2 of the 4 bedrooms have seaview and private bathrooms / WCs and garden / swimming pool view for the other 2, which share a 3rd bathroom and WCs. Access to the beach is direct. Dorine, is a very dedicated and an excellent cook, helped by Saloni, she does everything to help us. Sophie and Bernard Cayeux, from the first contacts prior to the reservation until the end of the stay, are very available to answer our questions, help us rent a car, give us a welcome booklet allowing us to complete the preparation of the stay, welcome us on arrival and greet us on departure. We highly recommend them.

We had a wonderful stay! Rented the villa for 12 days with 3 couples. From the first communication with Sophie and Bernard it was all perfectly fine! Both helped us with our activities and gave us great advices. The villa itself - with Dorine who‘s cooking is absolutely fabolous - is a beautiful place to stay. Excellent week in this villa designed for pleasant stays. The photos reflect the reality well. The villa is clean, spacious and well-equipped. The private swimming pool located in front of the entrance of the house allows swimming sheltered from the wind. The house staff is very dedicated; the cook Dorine prepares good traditional meals and Marilyne manages the stewardship efficiently; daily cleaning as well as clothes washed, ironed and tidied up throughout the stay. The view is magnificent with direct access to the beach. It is necessary to have shoes when going into the sea because there are some rocks. Kayaks are available to explore the lagoon. The villa is twinned with that of the owner's parents. They are discreet and very helpful people. The only downside is the location. Ideally a car is needed. Otherwise it's bus or taxi to get to restaurants or supermarkets because access by road on foot seems perilous!

The service offered is professional and matches the standards of the luxury hotel industry. You can entrust the organisation of your stay to the agency, car rental, excursions and advice. Very nice villa, very well equipped. The house staff are top notch and make you feel like you're in a hotel (although personally I prefer the "independent" side). The view from the rooms on the beach is magnificent. The east coast is windy in winter and therefore a bit noisy at night.

We had an incredibly great week at Villa Amara. From the great location to the modern and tasteful interior to the service at the reception and during the stay, everything was just right. Definitely recommended: the mobile wellness massage by Nishta and the great fresh fish that was offered by the nice neighbour.

Superb villa, well equipped, well located and with services that make a difference. The villa was ideal for our group of friends (group of 6), also perfect for families. It is pleasant, very well equipped. Great view on the beach (where kayaks are exclusively reserved for you). There are several places to sit and eat: a large table inside with a view of the sea, or garden furniture and a table on the terrace right next to the pool, protected from the wind. The size of the pool is perfect, and the water is always clear and warm. The real plus: the services included in the rental. 2 people are in charge of cooking for you (a list of Mauritian dishes is proposed, but Dorine will adapt to your tastes and requests) and of maintaining the house and does your washing & ironing. Beyond the quality of the services provided, it's a great way to meet people, to have real exchanges and to share on a daily basis. And if you have any questions, Sophie, who takes care of the reservations, is very available and answers you very quickly. Finally, its location is perfect for "radiating" all over the island. In short, an ideal holiday as we imagine it! We will be back...
